What is Suryl Guardian?
Suryl Guardian is a PC Time Machine in a button. The software is an instant restoration tool that can easily and quickly undo PC problems and get your computer working to a time before the problems started. Restore your PC in seconds with a single click of the button!
Why do I need Suryl Guardian?
Suryl Guardian keeps your PC's available and running at top performance. It’s powerful software that resolves typical performance degradation that occurs with normal use over time. Additionally, you need Suryl Guardian to easily recover the PC from crippling issues such as data loss, application corruption, viruses, spyware, malware and erroneous software installs. Suryl Guardian quickly takes your system back to a preferred state in a matter of seconds so you can be up and running quickly.
When does my trial expire?
The product will expire 30 days after install if a product key is not entered.
What happens to my PC and Suryl Guardian after the trial expires?
Nothing happens to your PC. It will still work and operate as normal. But you will not be able to take advantage of any of the features and benefits Suryl Guardian has to offer such as the ability to optimize your PC’s performance, quickly and easily restore and repair from harmful incidents such as viruses, spyware, malware, bad updates, and erroneous software installs.
How often should I Refresh?
Your computer should be refreshed at the first sign of slowness, computer degradation, or if you simply would like restore your computer to a good and clean working state.
Why should I Update?
Updating will allow you to personally customize your base environment for future refreshes.
How do I use Automatic backup?
Automatic back will be accessible via advanced settings and preferences. Here you can choose several options to schedule automatic backup of your computer through Suryl Guardian. Automatic backup is great to capture all significant changes and configurations of the system and to allow for quick and easy restoration of those changes should you need it.
Can I use Kiosk Mode and Automatic backup at the same time?
You cannot use Kiosk Mode and Automatic backup at the same time. Kiosk mode is to preserve the original configuration of the system while Automatic backup is used to capture and track new changes of the system.
Expert vs. Standard Install?
Standard install is recommended. This will give the user a total of three user environments or restore points and also enable the Suryl Guardian approved features for normal users. Expert install will allow the user to customize their installation to their specific needs.
Is there a local area where I can save data?
There is a Suryl “shared folder” located within C: drive (e.g. c:\shared folder). Here you can place files to this particular folder and files will not be affected when performing a refresh or update.
What is alternating backups?
An alternating backup is when you have three environments enabled and you would like to alternate your backups from (2) to (3). This will ensure that your computer will run at peak performance.
My product key is not working?
If you purchased a single use key and find it is not working, then you may have already installed Suryl Guardian using this same product key on a different computer.
When Should I Refresh vs. Update?
Refresh will revert your computer back to the saved base environment. Update will take a snapshot of your current environment and save it for future refreshes.
How do I know if my product is activated?
In Preferences menu, the area for product key will no longer be available and the words “Trial Mode” will also be removed.
I only have 1 Environment... what happened?
If there is only 1 environment in your advanced settings then you didn't complete the installation. To create another environment, you must copy/paste the existing environment and reboot the machine.
What should I do if I get a virus in my base environment?
Disconnect the computer from the network and perform a full system scan on your computer using your preferred anti-virus software utility.
How do I use Suryl Guardian Kiosk Mode?
Kiosk mode is meant to preserve the original or user specified settings of a system. This will allow you to go back in time and restore these settings in the event a harmful incident should occur. Kiosk mode uses only two environments to refresh your system. Determine a schedule for Kiosk mode (preferably a daily schedule). If a third environment (3) has been created, you must delete an environment before Kiosk Mode is enabled.
I have set one, but forgotten the password to my Suryl Guardian Console?
Unfortunately, we cannot recover lost, stolen, or forgotten passwords that you’ve specifically set for Suryl Guardian.
